USWNT vs. Jamaica score: Ally Sentnor, Lynn Biyendolo score braces in dominant win for USA soccer

Ally Sentnor and Lynn Biyendolo each scored bracket in the 4-0 victory of the American ladies in Jamaica on Tuesday in the Energizer Park of St. Louis, which marks another successful outing for the youth-oriented side of Emma Hayes.

The 21-year-old Sentnor scored the opening goal of the game in the 19th minute in a piece that started with a long ball from Lily Yohannes, who perfectly placed her pass to Emily Fox. From there, Fox quickly ping the ball to Sentnor to the left of her, who then hit the ball from the center of the criminal area and placed the ball in the back of the net.

Sentnor scored again only nine minutes later, this time through a play that started with Alyssa Thompson won a ball on the left flank after a run. Thompson went to the touchline before he went back to the playing field and played a pass to Yohannes who then sent the Ball Sam Coffey the road. Coffey noticed that Thompson is making his way in the box and passed the ball to her and although she made a shot, it hit Jamaica’s Chantelle Swaby. Sentnor, however, was there, recovering the ball and finished up close.

The third goal came in the 60th minute from veteran Lynn Biyendolo, only three minutes after the rise. The USWNT earned a corner and the in-swing ball first landed for Lindsey Heaps, who made perfect contact through a header, but goalkeeper Liya Brooks could make a save. However, the ball immediately went back to the playing field and Biyendolo responded quickly with a high staircase that ensured that the ball would land in the back of the net.

Biyendolo scored the last goal of the game in the 88th minute in an attempt that was like her Bonafids and the talent around her. In her fourth cap, Avery Back Avery Patterson finished the flank and played a long pass in the middle of the penalty area, where Biyendolo made a fast, well -timed run that made it easy for her to score. This was the 13th goal of Biyendolo as a replacement for the USWNT, the most of every player in the team since she made her debut in October 2016.

It was a completely dominant display of the USWNT, which had more than 80% and Jamaica 20 to 2 surpassed without making a single shot on goal. It was a strong showcase for various emerging talents, in which head coach Hayes continued to use the post-Olympics period to expand the player pool and try new tactical ideas. That effort included awarding a first cap to the Kerry Abello of the Orlando Pride, who started left behind, as well as the 3-0 victory of the team in China on Saturday in which Lo’eau Labonta earned her first senior international performance.

Sentnor was one of the many rising talents that impressed during this international break and participated in a list of players who continue to perform in the absence of different veterans. Although Hayes has used a large part of the past months to run through her line-ups as much as possible, she rewarded a few players with back-to-back start during this-Thompson window and Catarina Macario in Attack, Yohannes in midfield and Phallon Tullis-Joyce in Doel.

The USWNT returns to play later this month with friendly matches against Ireland on June 26 and June 29, followed by a friendship against Canada on July 2.
