Rookie Paige Bueckers Named WNBA All-Star Starter; Nneka Ogwumike Gets 10th Nod

Paige Bueckers earned her first WNBA all-star game selection, while Nneka Ogwumike deserved her 10th.

This year BUeckers was the No. 1 of the Draft selection of the Dallas Wings. It will be the 10th rookie that starts the game. It is the third season in a row that it happened when Clark had a start last year and Aliyah Boston in 2013.

In the league in the league, Bueckers occupies sixth place in the evaluation (18.4 points) and in the Assists (5.8) to guide all newcomers in both categories. She received the sixth highest voices from the fans.

Ogwumike, which plays the leading role for Seattle, is bound to the third most common all-star appearances with Tamika interventions and Brittney Griner. She only follows Vogel (13) and Diana Taurasi (11).

Clark and Collier were appointed captains of the teams on Sunday because they had received the most fan votes. The couple will design their teams by selecting reserves selected among the other starters and the 12 of coaches. The reserves will be announced this weekend.

New York Breanna Stewart and Las Vegas’ A’ja Wilson each deserve a seventh all-star nicken and will be in the starting line-up. The starters were selected from the WNBA regardless of the conference affiliation. Players and a Media panel have joined the fans to select the starter. The fans’ votes made 50%, while the player and the media each make 25%.

Boston ended less than 1,400 votes behind Minnesota Star Collier for second place in the fan vote. While Clark took first place in the fan vote, she was the ninth place in the coordination of the players and third in the media votes for guards.

Kelsey Mitchell from Indiana and Angel Reese from Chicago both missed the list of all-star starters and took fifth and seventh place in their positions.

The game will be played in Indianapolis on July 19.
