Omarion Hampton NFL Draft 2025 profile: Full scouting report, pro comparison, future outlook and more
Omarion Hampton looks at a lab to just under 6, foot, 221 pounds with with 4.46-second 40-floor dash. Its speed, speed and explosive drills (broad jump, vertical) and dominant to NFL Scouting to mix the scored 9.78 Ras (relatively athletic score), who ranked 43rd from 1,909 running backs who tried to combine from 1987 to 2028.
Hampton backs his athletic projection of the production of the collegial level – 3,160 car yard in the past two times combined. Even brings pedigree. Hampton Named North Carolina Gatedo football player in the year and North Carolina’s “D. EU” and older in high school.
While some draft analysts have a Hampton’s fall, and the tear due to a huge workload to collegiate level, as a plus. Rocks are shown to not handle the workhorse role to collegial level typically make a better job holding it on NFL level. Plus, there’s a reason North Carolina feeding Hampton often and made him in the focal point of their offense.
Hampton is only a size-speed standout. Excellent short space erupted and speed, innate ability to create yards in tight areas of mire lateral agility in size and plays in transit game as often as occasion.
What could help Hampton degree right in all-down parts of the right consumer fit for his visit. Of all the backs I’ve studied so far, only Lequant allen has a degree higher to me in the crossing. Question some veteran quarterback or coach and you’ll tell you the same – if you can cross you, you can stay in the field for all of the downfall. All-down parts once there is something far goes to Hampton who enter the league on the top of the tier tier tier running back hopes have been departed in the past five times.

NFL Comparison: Jonathan Taylor
I’ve seen Hampton compared to Zach Charbonnet, and I do not like to see the images in the ruant styles, but the player video more of Jonathan Taylor. As taylor, Hampton runs a bit high but makes up to it with their long-level and breaakaway speed. Hampton is better than taylor when it comes to contact balance and creating a yardage after the first contact. Then players in a short distance disrupit and not always expect a talor back. Hampton will enter NFL plus fire as likely as the receptacle and more to pass protection than taylor out of the Wisconsin.

- 2023-24, second-mainly ruas (3,164) in FS over the past two times (after the only Ashton Janty)
- 2023-24: Two-time first-team all-nom
Strength
- Product-fruit-products of his wet career to the Rusher and when the data opportunities in the game. Hampton joined a shortlist of the most star-studded future NFL running back when it came to its combined production.
- While strider who can break by defenses when it gets a runway
- Elite or confines-customer level of contact balance. Hampton rarely down in the first contact of the best to avert the Wimpy Tockeders. Hampton ranked in 97th percentile in the yard after contacts by effort (4.3) pff.
- Hampton also provides solutions for the offense with an offensive line deficit to do their job. Averaged Second Hampton in all running back with the or behind the line scrimmage in Pff Pff.
- One of the most unique moderation of Hampton displays the tape to the back of the magnitude of their ability to stop and start. He’ll often tempo runs, decelerans and creating angles to the cutbacks.
- Better lateral agility than the data believes, and that allows Hampton to create missed tackles to the second and third levels in space by making people miss.
- One of the best pass-protecting running back in this whole class.
- Relees off contact time without losing only if any mometed move forward.
- It can work screens, oscillations and an angle trips to the recipient in the game in the chemical level showing a natural hand running back position. 17% of North Carolina’s total reception in Hampton routed in 2024, which is the second highest percentage of all running back in this class.
- Quick and fluid footwork to backward size.
- Power and Drive to Steamroll Defenders as a weapon in a red zone despite not running with an ideal pad level in the most effort.
- One of the most explosive running back hopes despite being 221 pounds – Hampton tried to 96th percentile between all running back in explosive jumps (vertical and broader).
Concerning
- The greatest looks at the Hampton’s pad level runs up to. Hampton tends to run high and who running back trouble at NFL grade.
- Despite having the best lateral agility in size, Hampton is not the most fluid back. And it is a bit neck, and this is not always suffers him to miss the defenders in space and run with the lower center of gravity.
- The best fit zone to be observed, where Hampton has more defined reads can make one cut and downhill fast.
- No elite process when it becomes a vision and creativity to the cursor.
- The ball security was an issue at the time previously in Hampton’s life.
Bottom line
Hampton is not elusive runner and fled deep so pudding could impede the production (similar to how we have seen when the runners Taylor and LataAvius Murray, in others) in the past. But if you can get him in the right reason, and can shine immediately. His passenger game skills (protection or receiving) give him to play in all three of the three-down. It may be a weapon in the red zone but also home, run the hitter in any given minute. If you get the right zone-blocking plan, Hampton is star immediately.
What other draft experts say about Omarion Hampton
Ryan Wilson: No. Hampton RB2 41 on the board. 1 described him in my notes as “a workhorse back who hits a lot of doubles; welcomes, it at his best between the tackles, and plays much bigger than listed size (even though he’s listed at Just under 6-foot, 221 pounds). His receiving skills make him even more valuable. He plays with a low center of gravity; Good contact balance and runs low and with purpose. ” He’s another player – and only behind Ashton Jeanty – who could go round 1.
Josh Edwards: Hampton was an incredibly productive by Tarbats’s kicks. He has the size to handle the role feature back in NFL, and athletic testing to NFL scouting all the boxes. For team look at adding last failed part of or two to offensive operation, Hampton is the ideal becomes. North Carolina country is a top-15 running back in a rookie contract, but something more than that would be a cake.
Mike Renner: Hampton is hard-between-the-tackles cursor who will maximize all the opportunity and gets. I can’t see him always fun with a contact. And not only has the power, but also by explosive element to the game.
