NHL Playoffs 2025: Stanley Cup schedule, bracket, scores, as Oilers outlast Stars in Game 4

The Edmonton Oilers took full control of the Western Conference Final after the 4-1 victory over the Dallas Stars in match 4 on Tuesday night. Edmonton leads the 3-1 series and is a victory to advance to the Stanley Cup final for the second consecutive year.

Unfortunately for the stars, the story of the game 4 was familiar. Like match 3, Dallas played well for 40 minutes, but entered the third period. As was the case of the last time, the stars ran out of steam in the final frame, throwing only four shots at Stuart Skinner.

One of the heroes of the game for the Oilers was Corey Perry, who became one of the five players of 40 or older to score in a conference end game. Their game of power in the second period turned out to be the winner of the game when the oilers closed the stars late.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins also recorded his fourth game from various consecutive points in this series, attending each of Edmonton’s first two goals. He now has up to nine points in four games against the stars, and has raised his game after a regular season.

A star offense that had been so explosive all season has suddenly been cold. Dallas has only two goals in the lows three games, and some of his best players have been the non-shows in the series. Mikko Rantanen has not marked in seven games, and Matt Duchene and Jamie Benn are stuck in a goal in the playoffs.

Now, we are on the shores of the 2024 Stanley Cup final between the Oilers and the Panthers of Florida. On Wednesday night, the panthers are wound to Raleigh with the possibility of approaching hurricanes in match 5.
