NHL Playoffs 2025: Stanley Cup schedule, bracket, scores, as Hurricanes and Oilers open series with victories

The NHL playoffs continued on Tuesday night with two more second -round series underway. Carolina’s hurricanes won a significant victory over the Washington Capital in the extension, and Edmonton Oilers took the game 1 against the Golden Golden Knights so that he returned.

In the first game, the hurricanes put the capitals on Logan Thompson, the capital goalkeeper, with shots from beginning to end. While Great Danger’s possibilities were harder to find, Carolina had a clear territorial advantage. Despite this, the capitals maintained a 1-0 lead in the third period thanks to a goal from Aliaksei Proftas.

In the middle of the third period, Logan Stankoven finally went through Carolina to tie the game. This score remained until the end of the regulation until the Cannes Ombudsman, Jaccob Slavin, fired a shot of sight through the traffic that was snatched under the Thompson pad to win the game 2-1.

In Sin City, the Golden Knights jumped 2-0 in the first period thanks to a couple of goals by Captain Mark Stone. Just when it seemed that Vegas could flee with him, Edmonton returned to the court thanks to Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. They were combined by four points in the next two goals from Oilers, and Zach Hyman buried the game winner with a few remaining minutes.

As the Golden Knights pressed to tie the game, Connor Brown put a little icing on the cake with a magnificent solo effort to seal a 4-2 victory and a 1-0 series lead.

Playoff hockey continues to roll on Wednesday night when the Florida panthers are trying to throw -even with the Toronto Maple Leafs in match 2, and the Winnipeg Jets welcome Dallas stars, as the series between the enemies of the central division begins.
