NHL Playoffs 2025: Stanley Cup Final schedule, bracket, scores, as Panthers blowout Oilers in Game 3

After a couple of extension games to start this final of the Stanley Cup, the Florida panthers assured that we will not have three in a row. The panthers removed the Edmonton Oilers in match 3 with the score of 6-1.

Florida jumped in front of only 56 seconds in the party when Anton Lundell and Brad Marchand linked to win a clean front battle and beat Stuart Skinner. It was Marchand’s fourth goal in the series and his third consecutive goal for the Panthers.

Things were not more beautiful for the oilers there. Florida dominated all aspects of the game and put under the skin of Edmonton all night. At the end of the second period, the Panthers maintained a 4-1 lead thanks to a couple of brilliant goals by Sam Reinhart and Sam Bennett.

Defensively, the panthers were absolutely dominant. They did not allow Leon Draisaitl to record a shot on the goal and Connor McDavid completely neutralized. When this happens, it is almost impossible for Edmonton to win.

Perhaps the worst part of the game for the oilers was the self -infected wounds. They took three offensive penalties and a minor from the bank only in the first period. At the end of the game, Edmonton had completely lost his freshness and accumulated 85 minutes of penalty as a team. It was difficult to believe that he was the same team of Oilers who went on foot with the Panthers at Games 1 and 2.

We will see what kind of answer the oilers have in match 4 on Thursday night because the Panthers will seek to exactly replicate this game.
