MLB makes historic investment in Athletes Unlimited Softball League: ‘Watershed moment for women’s sports’

Major League Baseball announced strategic investment in athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) before the League launches. This is the first MLB contribution to the Women’s Professional League.

MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred and Ausl Commission Kim NG on Thursday

“I think this is an incredible step for two sports,” NG said to CBS mornings. “After working for 10 years, he worked in Major League baseball and led that soft violent division, we always tried to join women’s college socbball, and that landscape is engaged in sports and so many young women and girls.

In 2020, N.G. became the first woman Serve as CEO of MLB Club. N.K. played primary office roles with Dodgers, Yankees, White Sox and Major Leagu Bainball before accepting the role of AUUL commission last month.

Ausl has been in the Unestructured Fifth League of Athletes since 2020, when the organization has launched a soft model of one innovative location. AUSL will operate as a more traditional Softball model for each of its four teams that have a home base since 2026.

During the singing season, four League teams: bandits, flames, Talons and Volts will play a balanced schedule in 12 cities from June 7 to 23. The top three championship series takes place on July 26-28 at the Rohaks Stadium in Alabama. In August, 60 players will compete for AUUL ALL-STAR CUP, 21 game contests.

“We have had a very thoughtful business plan, which is now set, and I think the MLB has bought and believes us,” the athletes said earlier this week.

“Today we also announce that MLB.TV will broadcast games in their air for the first time,” Patrico said. “We have already found it difficult for the team at MLB, and they have been incredible.”

As part of strategic investments, both leagues will also cooperate on flagship MLB programs. Investments will include unlimited operating costs and growth in support of sales, marketing, as well as athletes.

“Large League baseball investments allow AusL to support long-term growth of a soft ball and expand our involvement in more opportunities for women and sports.

“During this extraordinary fascinating time of women’s sports, we want to prosper.
