TIGRES midfielder Lizbeth Oalle produced one of the most highlight-reel worthy sports moments of the year on Monday and scored a remarkable goal that she probably has in the race to win the FIFA Marta Award.

In the 75th minute of the 2-0 victory of Tigres over Chivas, Jenni Hermoso hit a cross in the box of the right flank, with Ovalle in the middle of the penalty area that waits to receive. Ovalle had her back in the direction of the goal, but held her eyes on the ball, finally jumped up and turned into the air before she kicked her heels up to get a touch on the ball. Her rear -wheel shot went up before she walked back to the ground, slid under the bar and landed in the back of the net.

After the game, Ovalle joked that she would call the goal “the shrimp” and added that the technology also surprised her to a certain extent.

“I don’t even know how I did it,” she said, Per the corresponding press. “I didn’t even see it.”

Many have thrown Ovalle’s hat in the ring for the FIFA Puskas Award, which is named after Hungary and Real Madrid striker Ferenc Puskas and has been distributed since 2009 to celebrate the best goal of the year. However, Ovalle noted that FIFA created a new prize last year that was named after Brazil Marta for goals scored in the women’s competition.

Marta herself was the first winner of the prize for Her impressive strike in the colors of the national team against Jamaica Last June, but Ovalle is already a leader to win this year’s prize.
