Last time a Canadian team won the Stanley Cup: Three teams remain alive in bid to end 32-year drought

Canadian fans have exposed a little patience waiting for the Stanley Cup to return north of the border. How long will they have to wait? Maybe not long with three Canadian teams one step from the conference finals.

On June 9, 1993, the Montreal Canadiens went around the Stanley Cup after defeating the Los Angeles Kings in five games. Jurassic Park I was doing the competition at the box office. “Roseanne” and “Improvement” were almost every TV in America. Janet Jackson’s “That Is the Way Love Goes” passed the billboard graphs.

Since then, the Stanley Cup has resided in the United States for 32 consecutive years.

Three Canadian teams stay in the race to stop this streak with a Stanley Cup victory this summer after winning their first round. The Winnipeg Jets, winners of the presidents’ trophy in the regular season, beat St. Louis Blues in seven games, but now face a dangerous team of Dallas Stars.

Toronto Maple leads removes another Canadian team, Ottawa Senators, in six games in the last round. If you will end the country’s long wait for a Stanley Cup parade, the leaves will have to go through the defense of the Champs Florida Panthers Cup in the second round.

Finally, the Edmonton Oilers seemed to be not going out of the first round after falling 2-0 to the kings of Los Angeles, but they again stormed with four straight wins. Now the Oilers will go against the Vegas Golden Knights in a battle between two Titans of the Western Conference.
