Last time a Canadian team won the Stanley Cup: Five teams have a chance to halt 32-year drought

Canadian fans have exposed a little patience waiting for the Stanley Cup to return north of the border. How long will they have to wait? This depends on the five Canadian teams in the Playoffs of the Stanley 2025 Cup.

On June 9, 1993, the Montreal Canadiens went around the Stanley Cup after defeating the Los Angeles Kings in five games. Jurassic Park I was doing the competition at the box office. “Roseanne” and “Improvement” were almost every TV in America. Janet Jackson’s “That Is the Way Love Goes” passed the billboard graphs.

Since then, the Stanley Cup has resided in the United States for 32 consecutive years.

Five teams have the opportunity to stop this streak with a Stanley Cup victory this summer, but some are better than others. The Winnipeg Jets have just won the presidents’ trophy with the best NHL record, but no team that has won this distinction has won the Cup since 2013.

The leaves of Toronto Maple are the best chance of raising Lord Stanley and will go against Ottawa Senators at the Battle of Ontario. This guarantees that at least one Canadian team will advance to the second round.

The Edmonton Oilers were a victory to win last year’s Cup and will try to finish their job by 2025. Unfortunately, the Oilers will not be without the Mattias Ekholm defender at least during the first round, but helps to have McDavid Connor on the list.

Finally, there are the Montreal Canadiens, a heavy heavy in the first round and win the cup in general. The reconstruction group has just fallen to the Eastern Playoff end, but they have had some magic throughout the year. Maybe this continues for the next two months.
