Inter Miami’s David Beckham tells Minnesota United to ‘show a little respect’ after social media troll posts
Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham was critical of Minnesota United after the 4-1 victory of the wages over Saturday, and accused the opponents of respectful for their comments, both before and after the game.
Minnesota, who is currently in second place in the Western Conference of MLS, collected an impressive victory over Miami, who are fourth in the east, thanks to goals of Bongokuhle Hlongwane, Anthony Markanich, Robin Lod and his own goal by Marcelo Weigandt. Lionel Messi scored the only goal of Miami in the 48th minute, but Miami had already admitted twice.
Beckham responded on Saturday to two of the Instagram posts of Minnesota, the first of which emphasized that the wages still had a point than the herons after the game. The caption of the message was “Pinky Phony Club”, a reference to the 2020 song “Pink Pony Club” by singer-songwriter Chappell Roan.
The ex-English international was not satisfied with the post and told Minnesota to “show a little respect” and “elegant in triumph”.
He also focused on the next post focused on the tifo of the supporters group at the start of the game. The banner was, “History about hype” and “Culture about cash” with a caption that reads “49 years and tel” a reference to the history of football in the state. The Minnesota Kicks played in the Noord -Marican Soccer League from 1976 to 1977, while this current iteration of Minnesota United can be traced to 2010, when the Minnesota stars were erected and later brought several seasons in the NASL before he became an MLS extension team.
Inter Miami has since been founded in 2018, four years after MLS had awarded expansion rights in 2014 to a Miami -based property group and started playing in 2020.
Beckham responded to the message in the Tifo with a comment about the Instagram post of Minnesota and wrote ‘respect about everything’.
Inter Miami returns to play against San Jose’s earthquakes on Wednesday, while Minnesota United takes the Houston Dynamo on the same day.
