🇪🇺 England Best Italy, wait for Spain or Germany in the final of the ladies euro

England booked their place in a second consecutive ladies’ verterrinal on Tuesday, although they did it hard in a 2-1 victory over Italy in extra time.
Italy, who has been playing their first European semi -final since 1997, took the lead in the 32nd thanks to the goal of Barbara Bonansea against the Run of Play, making it the fourth time in five games where the Lionesses fell behind. However, the comeback Queens did exactly that, on the goal of Italy until the equalizer came and trusted their substitutes to save them. Michelle Agyemang forced the game to an extra time with a 95th minute equalizer, who continued her stared turn this summer-the 19-year-old has only four caps for England, but scored three times, including the equalizer who sent the game to extra time in the quarterfinals against Sweden.
Chloe Kelly, who scored the winning goal in the euro final of 2022, scored in the 117th minute immediately after missing a penalty to ensure that the Lionesses would continue their search to win back-to-back titles. Despite the early shortage and having to catch up again, England exceeded Italy with 24 shots to 11 and generated almost three expected goals to 1.12 from Italy.
England is now waiting for the winner of the semi -final of Wednesday between Spain and Germany, one that benefits the reigning world cup winners of the reigning women. Spain has so far completed the competition and have surpassed the opposition 16 to three on the way, Esther Gonzalez led the Golden Boot Race with four goals and Alexia Putellas just behind her with three. They will have the upper hand against a Germany side that is without important players such as Captain Gwinn due to injury and Kathrin Hendrich by suspension, but the best shots of the tournament in Ann-Katrin Berger have. Germany also has a recent history on their side – since Montse Tome took over the Spain’s manager after the World Cup, La Roja has confronted Germany five times and has not won, although Spain hopes that the tournament will break the pattern.

Putellas: “I see it more as an opportunity, no revenge. I think we are now in a completely different competition, it is a different context, so it will have nothing to do with it.”

🆕 New faces in new places when friendliness for the preseason starts
Getty images
Friends for the preseason come in thick and quickly for most European top teams, many of whom get the chance to introduce their new signing sessions when the real preparation for next season starts.
Arsenal opens their preseason schedule in the national stadium of Singapore against AC Milan, both parties have many new faces and with a point to prove. The Gunners may not have Viktor Gyokers in the books yet, but it has been a busy summer for Mikel Arteta, who stood in line with Martín Zubimendi of Real Sociedad and Christian Norgaard from Brentford, as well as goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea. Their most striking newcomer so far is the 23-year-old attacker Noni Madueke, who was the most exciting player who had done Chelsea for sale.
Exactly how Areta will find a balance in attack is the biggest question that the manager is confronted with, one that could answer a container of a slate with matches against Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United. In addition to Madueke and Gyokeres if his transfer continues, the Gunners still have on Kai Havertz and Leandro Trossard in their schedule, as well as their largest star, Bukayo Saka. In the coming season there will be numerous matches for each of them to play in, Arsenal again balances the demands of the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League, but finding the right selection will be the key to ensure that the Gunners actually get away with their first large silverware in several years.
In the meantime, AC Milan is also starting their pre -season campaign on Wednesday, as well as the chance to write a redemption arch after a disappointing eighth place in the Serie A last season. They are now confronted with a season without a European competition, which can offer a chance with a reset among the new Massimiliano Allegri manager, although solving Milan’s problems may not be easy. Just like Arsenal, they had an unbalanced attack last season – while Christian Pulisic enjoyed a new strong campaign and Rafael Leao performed more often than not, Santiago Gimenez did not settle perfectly in the middle of the season and Joao Felix came and went without much impact. How Milan does it without the impactful Tijjani Reijnders, who had 15 goals and five assists last season, is something to keep an eye on, just like the introduction of Luka Modric. The balloon d’Or winner, who is shy for his 40th birthday for a few weeks, could add some new flair to the attack if he has started the last years of his career.

💰 The back line
💵 Dear bets
- Ladies euro semi -finals: Germany vs. Spain, Wednesday, 3 p.m.
💰 The choice: Spain to win 2-0 (+700) – Things can play more evenly when both teams are at full power, but with Germany that misses several important players, Spain is really the clear favorites in this semi -final. Expect a respectable but dominant show of the reigning world cup winners of the women, one of those two of the leading goal scorers of the tournament in Esther Gonzalez and Alexia Putellas could see a major role and put them on track to reach their first euro finals of the women.
