Concacaf W Champions Cup semifinals: Prediction, where to watch, live stream, players to watch, what to know

The inaugural Concacaf W Champions Cup returns to action with the semi -final and the last four teams will fight on Saturday for a place in the tournament final. Club America and Tigres Femenil, two League MX Femenil, sides, will be confronted with NWSL clubs Portland Thorns and Gotham FC respectively as the last teams in the inaugural competition.

The knockout rounds of the tournament will take place in Estadio Universitario (Unal) in Monterrey, Mexico. The winners of the semi-final will continue to the final with Club America from a second place in Liga MX Femenil’s Gran Final, where they are aggregated with 2-3 inadequate, and they will be confronted with Gotham FC, who are in a two-game streak in the NWSL-Regular season.

Tigres Femenil are weeks away from the competition, and their last match was a quarter -final elimination on 28 April. Path to half

The last four were top of their respective groups after one Five -breeding Round Robin Style Group Stage. Tigres dominated the field in group A and remained undefeated with three victories and one draw for ten points during last year’s provisional game, and Gotham FC distributed their four games with two wins and two draws for eight points and second place in the group.

Club America and Portland Thorns were right on points each with nine after four games in group B, but Club America had a plus-11 goal difference compared to the plus-night of the Doornen and claimed the first place in the group phase.

Players to watch

Montserrat Saldívar, Club America: The versatile left wingback covers tons of land for Club America and the U20 team from Mexico. How she is used during the game will have large implications. She was an important part of the club’s success in the trip back to the Gran final and scored eight goals during the campaign.

MIDGE PURCE, Gotham FC: Purce was largely not available during Gotham’s group stage last year, but this season she is back in action and with a revenge. She has worked back in shape in the last four weeks and it can be exactly the right time to have a breakout game for the attacker.

Ana Dias, Ladies Tigers: The Portuguese attacker was the leading goal scorer of the clubs (four goals, two assists) during the group phase, and as Pedro Martinez manager gives her the start to try to reflect a group phase success, it may not be a bad idea considering some of the injuries that other Tigres are subjects.

Caiya Hanks, Portland Thorns FC: The Rookie striker is to hit a target score for breakthrough for the thorns during the regular season of NWSL. She scored two goals and recorded one assist during the current unbeaten streak of the thorns of four games.

Prediction: Club America vs. Gotham FC

Club America has a lot of talent and is only a week away from their last game, the Gran final against Pachuca, but injuries caught them during their run at the Liga MX championship, and it can also have consequences for the Concacaf title. The silver lining is that Gotham FC also hits a wall in their recent form.

After an impressive stretch of four games with three victories and seven goals from Forward Esther Gonzalez, the club and player have become cold. Gotham enters the Concacaf-Halve Final on a three-game Winless Streak and Nul Goals.

It may mean that the game is a bit Cagey in the beginning before it becomes a bit more open later, but the scheduled depth will be the difference maker, and Gotham is hardly any club America in this. Choose: Gotham 2, Club America 1
