Batting Around: Who is the best manager in baseball? Record and bullpen management isn’t all that matters

During the whole season, CBS Sports MLB experts will leave you a week around the round table, almost anything. Latest news, historical question, thoughts about the future of baseball, all kinds of items. Last week we discussed the most amazing teams of the seasonA number of these weeks we are going to solve the best skis of the game.

Who is the best baseball manager?

RJ Anderson: It is impossible to say confidently, because we do not have a complete picture of any manager’s investment. We see their field tactics and how they deal with the press, but not how they regulate personalities or bridge with the club and the front office. As such, they tend to answer such questions. 1) Whose team has the best record and (or) 2) which team has exceeded expectations? If you are the first of those guidelines, you have chosen Dave Roberts for years. If you go the second, you would end up like Craig Chaosel with someone, Pat Murphy, Stephen Vogt or Kevin Cash. (Or, this year, AJ Hinch and Bob Melvin).

Matt Snyder: Yes, this is really a really tough question. Bruce Bochi and Terry Francena’s resumes are knew, historically speaking, and I believe that they have long praised their teams to maximize their teams. I would like to tie my neck there and choose just one manager to sit on top 2025. I tend to go with AJ Hinch. I know that there will always be a stain for many people, but he has won 100+ games with stars for more years, their reconstruction and the world of 2017. He took the tigers in rebuilding too in reconstruction, and the past season addressed them with the playoffs, mainly half of the rotation and a heavy platoon. In this season, they sit on top and look at the power left. He is not even close to the only reason, but he showed his ability to maximize his list of how he manages both long-term and short-term balanced.

Mike Axisa: A lot of the manager’s work takes place behind closed doors, and it is impossible to assess those items as foreigners. All we can look at, his strategic decisions, and even then we do not have all the information (this relist can be available on this day, etc.). AJ Hinch is in conversation, given how good he is Massage, the staff of Detroit and childbirth. Kevin’s cash. Rease is more out of their players than expected, because they put the money in positions to be able to limit platots and overlaps. Make me choose one and I’ll tell you the best cash manager as well as Hinch. And, of course, the legends like Bruce Bochy and Terry Francona deserve to mention. At the end of the day, we are talking about winning the ring, and Bochi and Francisco multiply.

Dayn Perry: Hard one in the many ways to respond. We probably have three future Famers Hall, which is now in Bruce Fochi, Terry Francona and Dave Roberts. Bob Melvin and Brian Sniths are also discussed, and Bob Melvin and Brian Sniths are quite completed. With a mixture of success and career achievements, Husch, Roberts and Counsell are the leading candidates for me. If you have to choose one I guess I will consider hinch. My answer may vary later this season.
