Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog returns to lineup vs. Stars after three-year absence
Colorado Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog will return to party 3 program against Dallas stars. Landeskog has not played since the Avalanche won the 2022 Stanley Cup final after suffering multiple surgeries on his knee.
Landeskog took the ice on a avalanche sweater on June 26, 2022, when he skated the Stanley Cup around the ice in Amalie Arena de Tampa. In the low season, Landeskog underwent a right knee surgery and was expected to lose a significant part of the 2022-23 campaign.
Landeskog, on the other hand, lost all season when it was discovered that he needed a cartilage transplant. Landeskog’s recovery forced him to lose the next two regular seasons, but he has slowly been able to work on the action. Towards the end of the regular season, Landeskog adapted to two games with Ahl’s Colorado Eagles, registering a goal and an assistant.
In its 11 seasons with the evaluation, Landeskog has scored 248 goals and 323 assists in 738 games. In 69 playoff games, Landeskog pointed out 27 goals and 40 assists.
Landeskog’s return will have a couple of effects on the avalanche in the middle of a difficult series against the stars. The first will be Landeskog’s impact on the locker room. Colorado morality will definitely be with his ice captain after a long absence, so we will see what kind of effect he has in the game 3.
The other impact will be the performance of the Landeskog game, which is a great question sign. Has not played in the Nhl Level in almost three years, and is now jumping in a series of playoff against a Stanley Cup contestant.
How much yolk does Landeskog need to shake? Will you return again to play with Nathan Mackinnon, or will you play lower in the program? The good news for the Avalanche is that Landeskog will not have to have a heavy load. Colorado is deeply forward and coach Jared Bednar will be able to use Landeskog selectively. Any impulse that Landeskog can give the avalanche will be useful against a loaded dallas team ahead.
Landeskog will make his long -awaited return on Wednesday night when the series moved to Denver for the game 3. The AVS captured the game 1 comfortably, but the stars won an extraordinary victory in match 2 even to the series.
