Peyton Manning joins Denver NWSL expansion team’s ownership group ahead of 2026 debut

NFL Hall of Fame Quarterback Peyton Manning adds TEAMEWENTER to his resume. The dual super bowl champion has joined the ownership group of the NWSL extension Franchise van Denver, which will debut in 2026. Manning, who spent the last four seasons of his career at the Denver Broncos, becomes the newest high-profile figure to invest in women’s football-after his brother Eli Manning, a minor owner of Gotham FC.

“It is a real honor to be part of something that is so meaningful for the Colorado community,” said Peyton Manning in a release. “I am proud to support the growth of women’s sports and excited to help build a club that our city and our state can find out.”

Peyton Manning agrees with a growing and various Denver NWSL -ownership group led by checking owner Rob Cohen. Other investors are the project level of Ariel Investments, Jon-Erik Borgen, Kaia Borgen Moritz, Neelima Joshi, Dhiren Jhaveri, Molly Coors and Olympic gold medal winner Mikaela Shifrin. The group has emphasized a vision to build one of the most inclusive and community -driven clubs in professional football.

The Denver franchise was officially awarded in January 2025, with a record of $ 110 million expansion costs. The team is planning to start playing in a temporary location of 12,000 seats in Centennial, with a permanent stadium of 14,500 seats that are expected to be opened in Denver by 2028.

Since he retired from the NFL in 2016, Peyton Manning has remained a prominent figure in Sport and Entertainment. He founded Omaha Productions, the company behind the popular “Manningcast” alternative broadcasts on ESPN, and has regularly become present on television by various hosting and approval roles. Manning has also remained connected to football by supervising young Quarterbacks and participating in competition events, while expanding his involvement in business companies and philanthropy.
