NHL Playoffs 2025: Stanley Cup schedule, bracket, scores, as Panthers take 3-0 series lead

The Florida panthers are on the edge of the advance to their third consecutive end of the Stanley Cup. Florida mounted a third period of five goals to defeat the Hurricanes of Carolina, 6-2, in match 3 of the final of the Eastern Conference.

In a game that was tied by 1-1 when the third period began, the Panthers violation exploded with four different players, finding the back of the network. The Panthers striker, Jsper Boqvist, scored only 89 seconds in the third period, as he took advantage of the turnover of the neutral zone of the hurricanes.

Panthers Ombudsman, Niko Mikkola and striker Aleksander Barkov, produced two -goal shows in the game 3. Mikkola also scored the first goal of the game and expanded their points to three consecutive games since the end of the Eastern Conference began. It was an impressive performance for a Pantherian team that was left without star Sam Reinhart, who lost the Saturday competition due to a knee injury.

On the other side of the hiatus, Edmonton Oilers probably feel that they would leave the party 1 of the Western Conference Final against the Stars of Dallas move away from them. Initially, with a 3-1 lead, the Oilers let the stars again score a series of power goals, and a fight after the last seconds marked the clock was an ugly way to finish the game. The emotions were clearly high, but the Oilers would regroup ahead of another road game.

Regrouped they did. Oilers goalkeeper Stuart Skinner made 25 savings and recorded his third departure of the season only a couple of nights after allowing five goals to throw the series even at 1-1. Edmonton is not alien to playing behind these Playoffs in the Stanley Cup, and this grit was shown again Friday night with a path to the finals still in sight.
