Former Major League Soccer player Gadi Kinda dies at age 31 after ‘complex medical battle’

Maccabi Haifa announced on Tuesday that midfielder Gadi Kinda, an Israel International, has died. The former sporting player of Kansas City was 31 years old.
The club announced two weeks ago that a bit in the hospital had been admitted “a complex medical battle in recent weeks”, in which sporting players brought him to pose on 10 May with his sweater before their 1-0 loss at the Portland Timbers.
“We are deeply saddened by the death of the former Sporting KC midfielder Gadi Kinda,” Sporting shared in a statement on Tuesday. “Our hearts are with Gadi’s family, his friends, teammates and everyone who knew him.”
“During his four seasons with Kansas City from 2020 – 2023, Gadi was a favorite with a fan for his excellent game on the field, his passion for the sport and his spirit of kindness and his generosity for everyone around him,” MLS wrote in a own statement on Tuesday. “We extend our deepest sympathies for Gadi’s family, friends, fans and everyone with Sporting Kansas City.”
Kinda, a versatile, attack -oriented midfielder, scored 14 goals in 64 games for sport. He also represented Israel at several youth levels and the senior level, earned 10 caps from 2021 to 2024 and scored in the 2-0 victory of Israel over Andorra during a qualifying match for Euro 2024.
He played the last game of his career on March 29 and came up as a replacement in the 2-0 victory of Maccabi Haifa over Hapoel Haifa in the Israeli Premier League.
