Fans and more hockey community have gathered to support the Center for Winnipeg Jets, Mark Scheifle, as the Charitable Winnipeg Jets Foundation has received more than $ 30,000 in donations in honor of Scheifele’s father. Brad Sheiflele died unexpectedly the night before the Playoff game of the second round of the Jets against the Stars of Dallas.

Despite the shock of his father’s death, Mark Scheifle played on Saturday 6th game when the jets faced the elimination. He scored his team’s solitary goal and finally won the Stanley Cup playoffs by the stars in the extension, 2-1. The players of both the jets and the stars showed their full support for Scheifle on the hand line, and others chose to make $ 55 donations, the Scheifle T -shirt number, at the TRUE North Youth Foundation.

In an email to Sportsnet, True North Sports + Entertainment spokesman Krista Sinaisky said that more than $ 30,000 had been raised in $ 55 donations.

“A wonderful departure from the support of the hockey community on a very hard day for the Jets family, our true North Youth Foundation is very grateful,” said Sinaisky.

Donations have also been made to Kidsport Canada, another charity organization that supports Scheifle. In addition to JETs fans, star enthusiasts have also been part of the charity thrust in a goodwill show to their opponent, given the circumstances and in recognition of Scheiflele’s courage.

“Simply brave what he did tonight. I’m sure his father would have been really proud of him and what he did, and I’m sure his father would have wanted him there,” said the stars coach Peter Deboer after the game. “Last night for him and anyone in the hockey world who has been in a situation like this. Habitat with him. A brave young man.”

With the JETs season now, team general director Kevin Cheveldayoff said that the organization did his best to support Scheifle.
