It was a much less dramatic game in Winnipeg, as the Jets defeated the Dallas Stars, 4-0, to tie their second series in a game. Nikolaj Ehlers advanced a goal and assistance, while goalkeeper Connor Hellebuyck detained the 22 shots he faced for his first post -season.
With another exciting hockey night in the books, we take a look at some spectacular performances that came out of Friday’s action.
3. Nikolaj Ehlers | LW | Aircraft
An injury to the end of the season caused Jets to advance Nikolaj Ehlers to lose the five games of the team’s first round against the Blues, but in the fourth game back to the Ehlers programming it seemed to be re-trained while leaving two goals and an assist in match 2 against the stars.
At the beginning of Friday’s game, Ehlers had a nose for the network. At 3:35 in the contest, Ehlers had the shit and tried a shot from the slot blocked by the Ombudsman Cody Ceci. However, Ehlers quickly gained control of the shit and dragged a shot that goalkeeper Jake Oettinger barely got a piece before the jets towards the striker Gabriel Vilardi struck a rebound at home. Later in the period, Ehlers also scored a goal after his shot turned off the ESA Lindell Stars Ombudsman before adding a net of vacuum at the end of the game. Ehlers finished the game with a maximum of six shootings and was aggressive almost every time he touched the shit.
2. Brad Marchand | C | Panthers
The Panthers splashed on the deadline for trade when the team acquired Brad Marchand, who had spent his entire career with the Boston Bruins. Marchand’s veteran presence was presented when Florida needed him more, as he scored the game winner in the extension of match 3.
At the Extraordinary Hours brand at 15:27, Marchand ended up receiving the shit of teammate Dmitry Kulikov and showed incredible patience in the offensive area. Marchand headed for the distant circle, where he pulled a shot that turned from the defender of the leaves of Auró Morgan Rielly and on the head of goalkeeper Joseph Woll for the impressive goal. Sometimes it is just about throwing shit on the net to see what’s going on, and Marchand was the beneficiary of this night.
1. Connor Hellebuyck | G | Aircraft
After winning the Vezina trophy as the highest scorer of the NHL a season ago, Connor Hellebuyck was named one of the three prize finalists once again this month. Hellebuyck published a 3.71 goals in the average and a percentage of .830 in the opening round, but seemed like an elite netminder to Friday 2’s victory.
Hellebuyck detained the 22 traits he faced against an offensive attack on dangerous stars. He remained calm, fresh and collected all night and made a lot of savings. In the second period, Hellebuyck made several key stops that Dallas kept out of the scoreboard. At the end of the frame, the star defender Thomas Harley put a record on the network that Hellebuyck could stop. In the rebound, Evgenii Dadonov, the stars striker had the free pecking on the right, but Hellebuyck was able to slide to get enough with the glove. This is the level of play that Hellebuyck will need if they want to demolish the stars in this series.
