Kylian Mbappé, DJ Khaled partner with SailGP Championship ahead of Los Angeles Sail Grand Prix

The Rolex SailGP championship announced on Friday that the coalition capital of French footballer Kylian Mbappé is investing in the France SailGP team. The announcement came a week after SailGP announced that DJ Khaled became a member of the sport as a Chief Hype Officer.

In addition to the investment by Coalition Capital, the ‘inspired by KM’ Association of MBappé is also the official charity partner of the French SailGP team. The French team is managed by K-Challenge and Co-Cos Bruno Dubois and Stephan Kandler.

“We are pleased to be on board with this new adventure with the France SailGP team, alongside Accor and other investors,” said Mbappé in a statement. “I am also proud that IBKM has the chance to involve more young people around the world through this relationship.”

“We could no longer be excited to welcome Kylian Mbappé in our growing SailGP family of partners and investors – he is unmistakably one of the most influential athletes of our time, and an inspiration for sports fans around the world,” read a statement from SailGP CEO Sir Russell Coutts.

The Los Angeles Sail Grand Prix will be broadcast this weekend on CBS Sports Network, with coverage of day 1 broadcast at 11 pm et on Saturday for live reporting from day 2 on Sunday at 5 pm et.
