Florida Panthers star Matthew Tkachuk has revealed that he is not decided to make surgery before the start of the 2025-26 season, According to Greg Wyshynski of Espn.

Tkachuk also stated that he could waste a significant time if he chooses to perform surgery. He still hopes to be able to “hit the ice as soon as possible.”

“If I get the surgery, it will definitely be the first two or maybe three months if so. But it is still indecisive at the moment,” Tkachuk told Espn.

Tkachuk added that it is “50/50” to the extent that he will choose to perform the surgery.

Shortly after the Panthers defeated the Edmonton Oilers to win their second consecutive Stanley Cup, the Panthers striker revealed that he suffered a torn adductor muscle and a sports hernal injury while playing Team Usa on the 4 nations inaugural face in February. As a result of the injuries, Tkachuk lost the last 25 games of the regular season before returning to match 1 of the Playoff series of the Florida Round against Tampa Bay Lightning.

No one would know that Tkachuk was fighting for several injuries for his performance during the Playoffs of the Stanley Cup. The end of Panthers eventually tied for team leadership in points (23) throughout the later season, including three goals and four assists in the Stanley Cup final.

Tkachuk has paid huge dividends for the panthers since acquired in a box office trade with the flames of Calgary in the low season of 2023. Tkachuk will leave a glittering hole in the first six places in Florida if he ends up losing its substantial time this season.

The Panthers will aim to become the first team from the islanders of New York in the early 1980’s to win three consecutive Stanley Cups.
