NWSL Power Rankings: KC Current remain at No. 1; Trinity Rodman’s return has Washington Spirit ready to pounce

After an exciting summer vacation for international tournaments, the regular season of 2025 NWSL returned with a lot of action during week 14. The second half of the season is officially underway, and while some teams are getting the pedal and the engine has complicated, others are still on the side of the road with the hazard lights that flash. With 12 match cultivation in the season, it can be a good time to reset my power ranking.

However, certain clubs do not make it easy. The top three teams of the rankings have not shifted precisely, because the Stroom by Kansas City continues their super form and did not waste time to expand their talent gap, where other teams simply competed for the same pace. While the lower three teams showed some fighting in week 14, there is also little change, leaving a whole group of movement in the middle of the Power Pack. If you keep track of where teams end up in the past, view it My previous strength ranking of June.

So, which teams will the power and fall in stagnation rise? Week 15 will be here soon, so don’t miss an action. Fans can view Selected NWSL regular season races CBSCBS Sports NetworkParamount+and CBS Sports Golazo Network.

2025 NWSL Power Rankings

This is how the competition steps while the second half starts in high gear:

1. Kansas City Current (-)

It is becoming increasingly difficult to find mistakes with Kansas City, especially when they continue to add attacking options to their schedule in the national team of American women, Ally Sentnor. The second -year player did not get time in week 14, but that doesn’t matter because the current one is stacked. Vooruit Temwa Chawinga keeps things close to the NWSL Golden Boot Race while she scored her ninth goal this season.

2. Washington Spirit (-)

Trinity Rodman could not be back if there was a kind of hidden time -changing tunnel in the dressing room of the Spirit. The winger made a triumphant return to the field after an absence of four months and scored in her comebackWashington help to win a victory. With more Spirit players who come back in shape with Croix Bethune and Hal Herbshfelt in the mix, new head coach Adrian Gonzalez could have a deep selection to work with the piece.

3. Orlando Pride (-)

Orlando Pride had many opportunities to get a comeback this week, but they just couldn’t find the end goal. Nevertheless, changes in the late game made a difference by manager Seb Hines, and the efforts of Prisca Chilufya have paid off in the form of an equalizer. The group may not be the super team of this season, but they find a way to stay elite.

4. Seattle Reign (+1)

Head coach Laura Harvey was a bit of a joker in week 14. After getting exciting attacking players in Mia Fishel and Forward-agent-Fullback Sofia Huerta, the head coach bends the tactical skill of the Roster when they rolled out with five at the back. Good exercise by the player fluctuated things, and smart substitutions revolved around when veteran Jess Fishlock helped the team in a victory. A team of dark horses can quickly be a big problem for the contenders in the competition.

5. San Diego Wave (-1)

It seems that this group faded before the break and still has to shake off the summer hibernation. They managed to get into dangerous spaces in week 14, but just couldn’t find out how they could get a lot on goal. If they want to be a more powerful team, they have to find one of the first half of the season form again.

6. Portland Thorns FC (+2)

Had to play very good pieces despite the fact that they had no points to show in their return to play. The team is striped in the first half of the year, but large individual versions of Sam Coffey and Hina Sugita in midfield helped the shortcomings. If the only goal of Olivia Moultrie is a sign of things that come for the thorns, they can make other contenders upset.

7. Racing Louisville FC (+2)

Had a good shape for the summer holidays and a wall called Kansas City Face-first was in their return to play. I want to believe that this is the year that this club is a way to sort out the play-offs, but they have generally struggled against higher opponents, and their schedule will not affect them in the coming weeks. But I am ready to be injured again and to keep them in the upper half of the ranking for the time being.

8. Gotham FC (-1)

It is that point of the year in which Casuals will watch competitions and schedules on paper and say that this team should beat that team, but Gotham just doesn’t work. The team will correctly celebrate the performance of Rookie Khyah Harper with the only goal of the week, but they will be happy to celebrate Golden Boot Leader-Up Esther-Runner-Up Esther Gonzalez after the group that only two shots in week 14.

9. Bay FC (+2)

This year Bay FC has been the final line on the Power rangers for a long time, and even in the competition table, and after their performance in week 14 they get closer. I am here for the ruthlessness of Rachael Kundinanji, and also for Penelope Hocking as the leading Club Doelcorer this season. If the duo can find out more cooperation efforts, Bay could be trend.

10. Angel City FC (-4)

I just can’t afford to look foolish in this ranking and to keep Angel City in the upper half of the rankings, even during the break is unforgettable. No win in six games, and despite all the “learning” the group of the new manager Alex Strauss, profits do not come. The staff must find out how they can rotate players in successful scenarios if they want to return to the top half of the ranking.

11. North Carolina Courage (-1)

The courage was before the break on a small series of good shape, and it may seem like those incoherent things in their return to us. Still, some exciting things to keep an eye on the group, while the coaching staff Tyler Lussi hit the left, and she functioned more as an attacking fullback.

12. Houston Dash (-)

It is the small things that make a difference, and sometimes it looks like your experienced midfielder who is involved when it becomes difficult. Former Canadian international Sophie Schmidt came big for the dashboard about the piece, and having a enforcer who can score from the bank could be the X-Factor that the dashboard needs for the second half of the season.

13. Utah Royals (-)

Mina Tanaka had a huge match for Utah against a top in Orlando. With Sentnor officially went to Kansas City, Tanaka could be the next playmaker who builds things for the Royals Reset as chemistry together with Brecken Mosingo and Bianca St-Georges.

14. Chicago Stars FC (-)

I have to celebrate the victories where you can get them, or in this case solid versions for a draw. Chicago has struggled this season, but interim -head coach Ella Masar has compete and enjoy the group while he does this. Goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher is back, and Ally Schlegel scores, and now it might be their turn to make others suffer.
