There is a new member of the 3000-percussion club. On Wednesday evening, Los Angeles Dodgers Icon Clayton Kershaw became the 20th pitcher in the history of baseball to register 3,000 career strike, and only fourth left hand. He fanes Winny Capro Chicago white Sox for a shot at the top of the sixth.

Justin Verdzer (3,471) and Max Scherzer (3,419) are the other active pitchers of the 3000-percussion club. The closest to joining them Atlanta Bravs is Lefin and reigns NL Cy Young Winner Chris Sales. The sale has 2,528 career strike and it would have been forced to continue playing for several years to join the Kerhavars in a 3000-percussion club.
