USWNT vs. Canada prediction, where to watch, live stream: USA soccer players to watch, odds, lineups
The national team of American women is back in action and will increase the heat while they close the summer window against Canada on Wednesday. The Stars And Stripes organizes their regional rival on Audi Field in Washington, DC and the goal for a three-game sweep from their opponents this window.
The USWNT comes from a few eruption victories against Ireland, where they defeated the girls in Green 8-0. Head coach Emma Hayes rolled with two completely different starting line-ups for the competitions, but the biggest test of the window is Canada, an old Concacaf rival, in the last competition of the three-game summer series for the national team until October.
The coaching staff is likely to pick players from more oriented players to go against Canada, including a defender Nomi -size and midfielder Rose. In the schedule, his defenders are missing Gisele Thompson And Kerry AbelloThose training camps have left after injuries.
With the next international window not until October, Hayes and its employees use this as an opportunity for evaluations of the final player before they lowered the player pool. The intention is to step in the next phase of the planning for the next 2027-28 cycle.

Last meeting
The two parties have a long history against each other, but the USWNT has 53 victories against their continental rivals in 66 previous meetings, and they last finished during the 2024 Shebelieves Cup. The game ended 2-2 in regulations with goals from USWNT’s Sophia Wilson and Canada’s Adrianna Leon, but needed fines to determine a winner. The shootout was a high drama, with former keeper Alyssa Naeher Stop and then convert a penalty, and the USWNT won 5-4 on penalties
What USWNT says
Hayes is clear about a timeline in squadron processes in the construction of the cycle of 2027-28. The extensive player’s pool in the past six months will probably be limited after the game against Canada, a team that considered Hayes as a top team, Prime to challenge much of the more not -tested players of the USWNT.
“I look at the Brazil Games. I look at the Japan Games, for example, tier one, opponents, tier A opposite standards, I think Canada is in that category. I am curious how much we have learned by playing a tier one opponent … I think we have the chance show How much have we closed the gap on the details, and not just six or seven senior players. I mean, more figures can do that, “said Hayes.
The manager and her staff also focus on more tactile and technical areas for the group that is progressing. She noticed how dangerous the team looked at Ireland, and that four goals are an admirable performance, but that the data presented showed that there could have been more. She and the coaching staff will evaluate how successful players are in decision -making, performing game plans and more against Canada.
“Are we going to the right areas? Yes. Do we make the right decision if we are sometimes in the right areas, we still execute at the highest level in the right situations? Still indifferent to me. I still feel that there is another level to close the gap for the number of options we get and convert,” she said.
“Movement is important in the game to disturb an opponent, but you have to maintain structures to minimize the impact that the opponent can have in the opposite direction. And Canada is very good at their transitions, and if you give them too much transition space, they have a pace to hurt you.
What Canada says
Head Coach Casey Stoney called a schedule of 23 players for a few summer friendships against Costa Rica and the USSWNT. The manager looks at the games in a similar lens like Hayes, as a measuring stick for how the team can save against the top competition.
“This window is an important step forward for our group while we continue to build in the direction of our goals,” she said in a statement. “We are approaching a world -class challenge against the world’s top team, the US, that’s exactly where we want to be.”
It will be the first time that Stoney is on the sidelines with Canada against a top -regional rival, but various players on the Roster have extensive experience with the stars and stripes. Stoney is still in the early stages with the team, and the game comes halfway through the calendar year after she was appointed head coach in January.
“I think, first probably five months, really about exploring, about getting to know the players, getting to know the staff, understanding the skills of what we have available, ensuring that the team plays the strengths of the players, instead of adapting the players to something we want to do,” she said last month.
“I have to be honest, at least the first two camps are about building trust in coaching and the technical team. I think the players have lost faith in the past year, which is absolutely understandable. I come in as a strange person in a national team that, you know, I really know to do well.
Predicted line -Ups

Prediction
To be honest, it has the feeling of a stalemate with both coaching staff who would like to use the competition as a bending point for both programs. But draws are not fun in a rivalry, so here hope that the newer faces go outside to the rivalry and make it a game. Choose: USWNT 2, Canada 1
