Fever’s Caitlin Clark, Lynx’s Napheesa Collier Chosen as WNBA All-Star Game Captains

Caitlin Clark and Napheesa Collier will announce the WNBA All-Star game of the league on Sunday next month.

Clark received 1,293,526 votes from fans, while Collier had about 100,000 fewer.

The Indiana Fever star, which fails with a groin pollution, is an average of 18.2 points and a career high of 8.9 assists per game. She also led the fan vote last season, her rookie year, but the all-star format was the US Olympic team, which played against a selected group of WNBA stars, so that no captains were selected.

Collier leads the league at the best 24.5 points and is fourth to come to fourth place with 8.4 per game.

The fever and lynx will play each other in the commissioner’s final on Tuesday.

The 10 starters were selected from the entire WNBA regardless of the belonging to the conference. Current players and a media panel have joined the fans to select the all-star starter. The fans’ votes made 50%, while the players are correct and the media decisions each make up 25%.

The couple will design their fellow starters from a group that will be unveiled on Monday. After the starters have been announced, the head coaches of the league will select the 13 reserves by voting for three guards, five front court players and four of both positions. Trainers cannot vote for players from their own teams. The 12 reserves will be announced next Sunday.

The two all-star captains then design their respective duties by first selecting from the remaining eight players in the tool of starters and then from the pool of 12 reserves.

Clark and Collier also led the first fan vote with Aliyah Boston from Indiana to third place. Boston became second place behind Clark last season in the fan vote.

The All-Star game will take place on July 19th in Indianapolis.
