NHL Playoffs 2025: Stanley Cup Final schedule, bracket, scores, as Panthers even series with double OT win

Brad Marchand put the Florida panthers on his back and was able to lift them to a 5-4 victory against Edmonton Oilers in the double extension of match 2 of the Stanley Cup final. Marchand scored two goals at night and the series is now tied in a game heading south of Florida.

The score was fast and furious at first, as both teams combined to score five goals in the opening period. He has marked the first highest period in the Stanley Cup final since 2016, when the Pittsburgh Penguins and the San Jose sharks were also combined by five goals.

Marchand and his teammate, Anton Lundell, ended up combining Marchand’s goals. At the 8:04th mark of the second extension period, Lundell was able to launch the blow ahead of the package in Marchand, who pulled out the pad from Oilers goalkeeper Stuart Skinner.

It was a redemption opportunity for Marchand, as he had the opportunity to win the game in the first extension period. Marchand received a Carter Verhaeghe pass and tried to slide a couple of shots passed through Skinner. However, an attempt to rebound comes from the publication to keep the party.

Sergei Bobrovsky had an approximate opening period when he surrendered three goals. However, it ended up establishing quite well with 41 savings in 45 shots and only allowed one goal in more than three periods.
