8 FCS players, 1 HBCU player taken in the 2025 NFL draft

The NFL 2025 design is completed. Eight FCS players were chosen in this year’s proposal, led by the state offensive errors of North Dakota Gray Zabel, who went in 18th in the first round. Here is a schedule of who was chosen.

Remarkably

• The fifth and sixth rounds were seen by the most FCS players selected with two in each round.
• Oakland Raiders were the only NFL team to choose multiple FCS players and chose three. This corresponds to Indianapolis Colts in 2022 for most FCS players selected by the only team in the NFL design in this decade.
• The state of North Dakota was the only FCS team with several players.
• The state of North Dakota had players developed in six of the last seven seasons, dating back to 2019. 2024 was a lonely year when the bison had no choice.
• Offensive linman from northern dakota Graft is the 24th FCS player developed in the first round. It is the first FCS player to be selected in the first round since 2022. Its selection No. 18 means the highest selection of FCS since 2021.
• Charles grant He is the second offensive Linman William & Mary selected in three years and joined Colby Sorsdal, the fifth round of 2023.
• David Walker He won the Buck Buchanan Award in 2024 as the highest defensive player in FCS.
• Walker is the first winner of the Buck Buchanan Award to be selected in the NFL design because Kyle Emanuel of North Dakota went in the fifth round of 2015.
• Carson Vinson It is the first selection of the Alabam A&M concept since 2011.
• Jackson Slater During his senior season he did not allow bag or quarterback.
• Tommy mellott It was developed as a wide Oakland Raiders receiver after starting 4.3 in its for -day. Mellott won the Walter Payton Award in 2024 playing Quarterback.

• Miller’s selection makes it four straight state northern Dakota starting Quarterbacks to be developed, dating back to 2013. The initial signal line goes: Carson Wentz (2013-15), Easton Stick (2016-18), Trey Lance (2019-21) and CAM Miller (2021-24).
• Junior Bergen He is the first player of Montana to be selected by Tyron Holmes in 2016.

1 HBCU footballer selected in NFL 2025 design

Alabama A&M offensive Lineman Carson Vinson was a lonely player HBCU selected in this year’s NFL draft. He joined Jackson State Cornerback Isaiah Bolden (New England Patriots, 2023) as the only HBCU footballers who have been developed in the last three years.

While the NFL proposal has closed, expect several FCS and HBCU players to find NFL houses as undefined free agents.
