2025 NHL playoff picture: Standings, schedule, start date, projected series matchups, teams that have clinched

The Stanley Cup Playoffs Race is really heating. There is only a good number of games left for each team to play, as everyone is betting on winning the cup and sowing each conference could be very interesting this year.

So far, the Carolina Hurricanes, Dallas Stars, Vegas Golden Knights, Winnipeg Jets and Washington Capitals are the only teams that have won a playoff place. Jets now have a thin advantage over the capitals of the president’s trophy race.

But many teams are also right in a division race. Just look at the Atlantic Division where the Toronto Maple Leafs, the lighting of Tampa Bay and the reigning champion of Florida Panthers are a few points from each other and a coveted game in the opening round.

• The first three teams in each division are automatically ranked for the playoffs.
• Each conference has two wild card points.
• The winner of the upper division of each conference will play the second team of Wild Card and the other winner of the division will play the first team of Wild Card.
• The second and third place in each division will coincide with each other in the first round.
