2025 NHL playoff picture: Standings, schedule, Stanley Cup Playoff start date, projected series matchups
The Stanley Cup playoffs is almost established. There is less than a week in the regular season and only four points are left to take. Sowing is also a hot button topic, with many of the first round matches still in flow.
At the Eastern Conference, Washington capitals have obtained the first seed. They are still waiting for their first game, but it is likely to be against one of the hottest teams in the League in the Montreal Canadiens who have won six in a row to open a six -point advantage for the final place in the East on Columbus Blue Jackets and New York Rangers.
The West is a different story with four teams betting on three points. The Minnesota Wild, St. Louis Blues, Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames continue to fight, but the flames seem to be the strange team as they sit at seven points behind the oilers and five behind the Wild and Blues with four games.
Playoff’s picture will change daily so CBS Sports will have you covered with our Nhl Playoff race tracker. It will be updated daily to show where each playoff team can be in the classification as the post -season is approaching. The Playoffs of the Stanley Cup begin on April 19.
Reminder: Here is like the Nhl Works Playoff Seeding
